"New in Town," staring Renee Zellweger, this recently released on DVD romantic comedy is worth waiting around until it hits the TV airwaves. Zellweger stars as Lucy, a city girl from Miami that gets stuck in a small town in Minnesota as the plant's new manager. Zellweger goes through quite a few ups and downs as the people of this small town do everything but follow their new boss' commands.
As the town warms up to her, she warms up to the union supervisor, Ted, played by Harry Connick, Jr. Just when things start to look up for everyone, a major twist in the movie turns Lucy into the most hated person by the town. This film has a good plot but has a poor execution with Zellweger's performance. It may have been better if she was cast as the town hick.
