"We always take the season one day at a time, one week at a time and one meet at a time," said captain Andrew Grzywna. "Every day is used in preparation for the next. We are a young team with a lot of potential and we keep working harder every day to prepare ourselves for the next meet."
The Eagles came in to the championships after top finishes at the Cardinal Classic at North Central College, on Feb. 20th.
Mensie scored a first place finish in the weight throw for the women and a second place finish in the shot put.
For the men, Sanford placed second in the 55-meter dash while freshman Kendrick Cross finished fourth in the long jump. Roff also placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles.
"Every week our team as a whole continues to improve," said Grzywna. "There are always several people improving on their personal bests every week, whether it is a faster time, a better height or a farther distance."
On Feb. 12th, at the Chicagoland Championships at Lewis University, Mensie had two top-15 finishes in the shot put and the weight throw. Kunesh also has a top-15 finish in the 55-meter hurdles.

"I am very proud of the team as a whole," said Sanford. "We keep improving at every meet and it showed at the championships. The indoor season is a great warm up for the outdoor. We are all excited to get outside and prove to the NAC that BU is a great team."
Both teams will start their outdoor campaign on March 27th at the Warrior Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
