On Thursday, Feb. 25, Chicago group, SoundRight, performed on the BU campus at the Spring 2010 Poetry Slam. The all female Muslim group formed in 2008 due to the lack of Muslim women in the performing arts and amazed audiences with their homemade instruments.

Since then, SoundRight has picked up an assortment of instruments including bongos and drums and not only feature vocals to accompany the instruments but also feature rap which adds to the diversity of music. To follow SoundRight and see them perform, check out their Facebook page.
