After much anticipation, Martin Scorsese's new hit, "Shutter Island," has been released. The film is set in 1954, on the remote Shutter Island off of Boston's coast. Leonardo DiCaprio plays U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels, who is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a patient from Ashecliffe Hospital.
The movie is filled with talented actors in addition to DiCaprio; including Mark Ruffalo and Michelle Williams. Although the movie ran long, two hours and 15 minutes to be exact, there were no slow parts. Every scene presented a new twist, keeping the storyline fresh and intriguing.
"Shutter Island" requires some thinking on the audience's behalf, to put the pieces of the puzzle together, but it is worth it in the end.
