Study Abroad in China
Due to Benedictine's growing partnerships in China, the University has been offered by The People's Republic of China a full scholarship for a BU student for one academic year study in China or for two students for one semester. Details are still emerging but the scholarship includes tuition, accommodations, medical insurance and a monthly living allowance.
Anyone interested in applying should contact Ms. Elsie Yuan at eyuan@ben.edu. Emails should include name, program, major and interested length of study. For more information, see Page 6.
Be a Leader on Campus
Applications are now being accepted for anyone interested in becoming an Orientation Leader. Ideal candidates include those willing to commit to the planning and implementation of Welcome Weekend for incoming students in August.
Anyone interested in becoming an Orientation Leader should complete an application and return it to Katie Gregory in Lownik Hall 112B. Questions or concerns should be addressed to Gregory at ext. 6307 or kgregory@ben.edu.
Global Collaborative Summer Program
Hoping to promote a better understanding of the East Asian world, the University of Pennsylvania and East Asia's finest universities come together with Kyung Hee University, located in Seoul, South Korea.
Highlights include over 20 courses to choose from and various extra curricular activities with students from 30 different countries. Class dates are July 5 through July 30, 2010 and registration begins March 15 through May 30. For more information, contact Marc Davidson at ext. 6342 or EducationAbroad@ben.edu.
