Islam Awareness Week
BU will be celebrating Islam Awareness Week from Monday, Feb. 1 to Friday, Feb. 5.
Presented by BU's Muslim Student's Association, the week will feature five speakers throughout the week. Topics of informative lectures will include personal experiences in Gaza, misconceptions in Islam, the message of the Qu'ran, women in Islam and the Islamic perspective of Jesus and Mohammad. Visiting Scholar at BU
Andre L. Delbecq, McCarthy University Professor at Santa Clara University, will be presenting two lectures to BU this winter. On Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m., he will speak about "Spiritual Practices of Leaders in Turbulent Settings".
On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 12:20 p.m., he will present "The Seductions of Power and Leadership Distortion". Both speeches will be given in Scholl 101. Contact Abbott Hugh Anderson at ext. 6029 for more information.

Through the effort and cooperation of BU and the Freedom Calls Foundation, families are able to hold half-hour video conferences with loved ones in Iraq for free.
