Whether a bad video game gets bought, sold or turned into a zombie, nobody cares except the person who originally bought it

Some people enjoy watching the same movie over and over. They like knowing exactly what is going to happen and what each person is going to say. To them, the repetition is comforting, but I need more, especially in my video games.

Rarely do I find myself itching to buy a 60-dollar game that doesn't come with some sort of a substantial multiplayer. Most single player campaigns can easily be completed by renting the game instead of purchasing it for half of a "c-note". Sure, there is always eBay and stores like GameStop where you can sell your used games, but eBay often comes with added shipping costs and retail stores pay very little for old games.

The best solution: Buy a good game.

Usually making the bad video game purchases that are depicted in Gamefly's commercials can easily be avoided by proper research and restraints. Take some time to read reviews, both from customers and professionals in the industry, before you impulsively buy your next game. You don't need to buy the newest "Guitar Hero" or "Rock Band" just because it has new songs. How often do you play the older versions now anyways?

Need a couple of good games to get you started? How about two sequels that were just released in the past week?

Anyone who is connected to the video game industry, even by a tin can and string, has heard about the highly-anticipated sequel to Activision's Modern Warfare series. "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" was released last Tuesday, and from only a week of gameplay I'm already having a hard time determining when this game is going to get old.

There doesn't seem to be a more popular game than MW2 right now and rightfully so. Many recent sequels have shot for the "trifecta" - a gripping campaign, a challenging multiplayer and an entertaining side-game - but few actually achieve near-perfection in all three categories. That is, until Modern Warfare 2 came along. In my eyes "Gears of War 2" had the campaign and Horde mode, but not the multiplayer; "Halo 3: ODST" had a short campaign and a hit-or-miss Firefight mode but MW2 hits all sides equally and with equal intensity.
