The cafeteria is taking on a new look this fall, complete with tablecloths, candles and an expected crowd of 800. At precisely 5 p.m. on Nov. 19, Krasa Dining Hall will open its doors to students, faculty, staff, families and friends for the annual Thanksgiving Dinner. (0) comments

BU's Diwali Night

Sprinkles of white Christmas lights gently glow over black curtains surrounding the stage with several microphones lining the front. To the left, a DJ booth is set up performing sound checks while Indian music blares through the room. The fluorescent lights overhead are dimmed to make way for the spotlights aimed at the stage and there is a tingle of excitement in the air. (0) comments

In the past year, Benedictine has renewed its commitment to the environment creating an encompassing program to create a sustainable university. On Monday, Nov. 23, in the Krasa Presentation Room at 7 p.m., there will be a showing of the film, "Food Inc." This presentation is a part of the bigger plan, "Years for the Environment" to make students aware of the environment around them. (0) comments

A Fight for Democracy

On Thursday, Nov. 12, there was a very informative speech on an issue that is brought up today as it was a hundreds of years ago. Nikhi Pal Singh, a 1995 graduate from Yale University, had the full attention of a packed auditorium with his lecture on "Race and Democracy" all around the world in the 20th century. (0) comments
